We all have experienced loss of one type or another. Sometimes loss barely catches our attention, while at other times, it splits our world completely and irrevocably into pieces. In between those extremes, loss impacts us in ways that are as unique and as complex as we each are unique and complex. ~Steve Johnson, co-founder of PathLights, LLC.

We tend to think of loss in terms of the death of a family member or someone close to us. But loss is a recurring part of life, whether it’s due to a global pandemic, a job change, a broken relationship, a change in our physical or mental health, loss of our home to natural disaster, and the list goes on.

At PathLights, our vision is to provide a holistic approach to healing for those walking in loss. While each loss is unique, there are some common threads in each loss experience. A healthy approach to loss includes nurturing these common experiences and learning to be PathLights for each other as we move along our unique paths of loss.

This 6-week, online course is for you if...

  • You are struggling with your own loss experiences and want a fresh look at how to move through your personal loss journey.

  • You're a professional caregiver, counselor, leader, or alongsider who is passionate about caring for people who have experienced loss.

  • You connect with people who experience all types of loss, and you work hard to help them navigate their experiences.

It’s reasonable to suppose that everyone on the planet experienced a significant loss of some kind during the COVID pandemic. It’s just as reasonable to let this supposition guide us toward compassionate relationships with each other. - (Ashley Johnson, PathLights Team Member)

All losses can be held and integrated when a caring presence companions us. That’s why we can be PathLights for each other. When one of us is stuck in an unhelpful path, we need direction, but more importantly a new set of lenses--that’s the light we can offer to each other. (Julie Lee, PathLights Team Member)
